From the Editor
Process Edge one of the key publications of Shared Services Forum, India (SSF). It is published periodically for the purpose of sharing and disseminating knowledge on industry insights, best practices, innovations, through shared services stories, transformation journeys, case studies and white papers on business transformation.

The journal acts as a pedestal for industry leaders to present to the world their ideas and solutions to myriads of problems, issues or apprehensions they may have encountered in their business transformation journeys. The leaders also use this platform to share the critical success factors that enabled them and the impact of the strategy on business. The publication is focussed on ‘deep’ issues within the business services industry as well as ‘wide’ ones within the business world.

Within the business services world specifically, the publication provides in-depth views on issues such as (amongst others):

– analysing the cause and effect of the state of affairs of the industry, a section of it, or a specific organisation or trade segment;
– the extent and depth of new studies that drive the industry, including the integration of services with modern technologies;
– viewpoints on the changing trends being witnessed world over; and
– forecasting and predicting the future of the industry.

The publication also expresses views on wide issues pertaining to service or business orientation,
such as:

– management by demonstrated leadership, including, but not limited to business ethics and values;
– behavioural sciences, especially as it applies to industries;
– practices considered as “best”, and contrary views, if any; and
– life and times of the industry doyens and their life lessons, experiences and advise.

Process Edge is a well-rounded and well-researched collection of views and knowledge that is both informative and highly useable. The authors are thought leaders who are established practitioners of their trade. Though the authors themselves own the content of the articles, they are written in simple, easy-to-read style, which is carefully and meticulously edited by the SSF editorial desk.
Process Edge is read and used by various industry captains and is prized as an important supplement to the collection of the global business intellect.
